Sample Honors Curricula

The Honors College curriculum can be integrated into any major The University of Maine offers.  Each of these links will show you a sample curriculum for four years of study completing the requirements of the major, the Honors College, and the University.

Of course, sample curricula are only that, samples.  Your individual course of study should be tailored to your needs by working with your major advisor, the staff of The Honors College, and the Honors College Secretary for your college.   In addition, they are constantly being updated, so please check the date (lower right hand corner) to determine when the curriculum was last updated.  However, this should get you off to a good start!

The curricula are posted in PDF format.  To view or print them, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer.  To install Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer (it's free), click here get acrobat reader

In addition, by clicking on the  symbol to the right of the degree or program, you can see a listing of past Honors graduates in that or closely related fields.  Of course, for more flexible searching of our database of graduates, please go to the Thesis Archives Search page.

.If you have any questions about these pages, or would like further information or copies, please contact The Honors College.

New Requirement: Students who enroll in the University of Maine on or after 1 July 2004 must complete Honors 180: A Cultural Odyssey once before graduation.  This one-credit, pass/fail course is offered every semester.

This requirement is not implemented in all these sample curricula.
