As part of the University of Maine’s Student Research and Creative Achievement Week held each April, the Honors College hosts its annual Honors Thesis Symposium. The Symposium is an opportunity for students who are completing their theses (or who have completed them the previous semester) to present their results to a University audience. The day is filled with thesis presentations and time for comments, questions, and answers. Students find this an excellent way to do a trial run of the presentation they will be giving at their thesis defense a few weeks hence—and they don’t mind the munchies provided either!
